IDEA's Systems Engineering Technology program: a progressive curriculum covering systems thinking, modeling fundamentals, and applied digital engineering.
Built for learners entering the field — clear progressions, hands-on modeling exercises, and real tools from day one.
DigitalWERX supports the SET Academy with curriculum resources, tooling, and a direct pathway into DigitalWERX MBSE courses.
What is SET Academy?
Developed and owned by IDEA, the SET Academy curriculum teaches systems thinking and model-based engineering from the ground up — starting as early as high school. DigitalWERX proudly supports the curriculum with resources, tooling, and a direct pathway into professional training.
SET Academy is not a school or a platform — it's a structured Systems Engineering Technology curriculum developed by IDEA, designed to be taught in classrooms and training programs.
The curriculum builds from systems thinking foundations through modeling fundamentals to applied digital engineering — each level preparing students for the next.
SET Academy graduates step naturally into DigitalWERX Pro professional courses — from Intro to MBSE through the full Fundamentals sequence.
For SET Academy graduates — and students near graduation — who excelled in Systems Modeling II and III and are ready to pursue the OMG-Certified SysML Professional credential.
The OCSMP certification is the industry stamp of approval of an individual's SysML modeling and analysis ability — designed by the experts who co-authored the SysML specification. DigitalWERX sponsors qualifying SET Academy students on the path to it.
